Ryzen 7 2700X Review

Ryzen 7 2700X Review

In June of 2018 I’ve bought Ryzen 7 2700X for about 400$ and I’ve had quite a lot of time to play with it. Even though Ryzen 7 2700X is more of a workstation CPU than gaming CPU I’ve used it mostly for gaming and I’m impressed with the results. Nearly all the games I played had 2X or more FPS than with my old CPU (fx-6300).

Ryzen 7 2700X performs better than I expected and I’m pretty pleased by it's performance, nearly everything runs fine without some lag and overall this CPU performs really good.

My Ryzen 7 2700X managed to score over 1720 points in Cinebench r15 and with my GTX 970 all games run well even on QHD on medium to high graphics.

The temperatures stay at about 70°C on 100% load with AMD cooler that came with the CPU and at IDLE the cooler is really quiet with temperatures at about 38°C.

If you want a good priced CPU for gaming and multitasking Ryzen 7 2700X is definitely worth your money, but if you want CPU only for gaming than you might be better off with Intel alternative.
